We are only 67 hits away from the 4,000 mark – can you believe it? I can’t. I am so glad that I took the decision to upgrade the blog over half term as I can do so much more using WordPress.
Keep visiting.
So I couldn’t resist coming back to check! We have smashed the 4,000 hits barrier and have had 367 visitors to the weblog today – another new record.

Well done to both of the Tag Rugby teams who played tonight. Team one managed to beat Shiphay and team two lost by one try. For many of the team it was the first time they had played a competitive match and it was a great effort. Fortunately it was warmer today so the spectators did not get frozen to the spot like they did on Friday after school.
A reminder – both the girls and the boys teams are in action on Thursday night. The girls are away to Homelands and the boys are at home to Preston (the match was originally scheduled for Friday). I am crossing my fingers for warm weather then as well!

Man gets pole in head – and survives!

How about this for an amazing tale of survival? Manish Rajpurohit ended up with a 4ft-long pole in his head following a bus crash in India in February.
As you can see from the X-ray, the pole went in through the 18-year-old’s forehead. It came out through the back of his neck, pinning him to his seat.
Amazingly, the pole missed all the important parts of his brain and, after rescuers freed Manish from the bus wreck, surgeons were able to remove it. |
