Phelps becomes greatest Olympian |

 There seems to be no stopping American swimmer Michael Phelps – he’s won another two gold medals to become the most successful Olympian ever. The 23-year-old set two new world records as he raced to victory in the 200m butterfly and 4×200m freestyle. The wins bring his Beijing gold medal count to five, and his Olympic career medal total to 11 – more than any other athlete in history! But he’s still a few short of his goal – he wants eight golds this Games. If he can win his last three events, he’ll set a new record for winning the most golds at one Olympics. The current record is held by another American swimmer, Mark Spitz, who won seven golds at Munich, Germany, back in 1972. |
