Choccy biscuits washed onto beach
Thousands of packets of chocolate biscuits have washed up on a beach in Lancashire after the ferry carrying them was hit by a freak wave.
The digestive biccies were swept off lorries on the Riverdance after it ran aground near Blackpool on Thursday when it was hit by the recent storms.
Parts of the coast were being covered by the biscuits as experts were flown out to the ferry to check the damage.
The bad weather means they won’t try to refloat the Riverdance until next week.
Twenty-three people were airlifted to safety after the ferry was hit by huge waves that caused lorries to break free and made the ship tilt to one side.
