SATs news (From the Newsround Website)

You spend weeks revising for your Sats so it’s only natural you want to know how well you’ve done, but loads of you are facing a long wait for the results.

Problems with marking thousands of Key Stage Two papers mean your results will be at least a week late.

The company that organises the marking has had big problems with its computers so some papers haven’t been marked yet.

It means loads of results may not be through before schools close for the summer holidays.

One in 10 of the papers taken by 10 and 11-year olds still haven’t been marked.

But the situation is even worse for Key Stage Three papers, which were taken by 13 and 14-year-olds. They might be nearly two weeks late.

Tests scrapped

All 11 and 14-year-olds in England do Sats and teachers use the results to see how well you’re doing.

But some people think the tests should be scrapped because they can stress you out.

Wales got rid of them recently and replacement versions are already being tried out in England.
